Government personnel are using smart phones for work, and AsReader knows security, so this creates a perfect partnership. We’re TAA Compliant, too, so this elevates our work on government contracts .”
— Paul Whitney, Vice President and COO of AsReader, Inc.
PORTLAND, OR, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- AsReader, Inc., a provider of RFID and barcode automation technologies, was recently awarded Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code number 23BR1, which furthers the tech company’s entry into larger scope government contracts. AsReader worked with System for Award Management (SAM) to be assigned the Unique Entity ID and CAGE code, which will streamline procurement processes. The alpha-numeric CAGE code is assigned to US entities in order to support procurement and acquisition processes throughout the US government.

The primary NAICS codes for AsReader are 334118 and 334290, and the AsReader Unique Entity ID (UEI) number is WDW2LCM4TYV1.

While having had US governmental contracts in place, AsReader’s CAGE code will now mean the company can bid on larger scale barcode scanner and RFID Reader projects within the Department of Defense (DoD).

In working with the US government, AsReader has seen that RFID readers and writers are important for national security, especially in the case of inventory management. With each piece of artillery and munitions adhered with a tag, US military personnel can quickly assess inventory stored in warehouses, bunkers and overseas, too. The AsReader RFID GUN-Type Reader/Writer (ASR-L251G) is also HERO Self-Certified, in addition to TAA Compliant. It is designed in Japan and made in South Korea.

The AsReader ASR-L251G GUN-Type, when coupled with the AsBridge ASA-112M memory stick, can be used in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), which are secure accredited rooms used to handle the US government's most sensitive classified intelligence.

AsReader devices work in tandem with smart devices, and the company offers options that capture data via hardwire connections, WiFi, Bluetooth, or securely onto thumbdrives for SCIFs. All AsReader devices are compatible with Windows tablets, iOS/Apple iPhones 5-18, Google Pixel 6a, 7a, 8a, 9a and 10a which have also been approved by the DoD for use by the US military, as well as other Android smart devices.

On forging new governmental relationships, AsReader COO and Vice President Paul A. Whitney said, “AsReader’s presence in the US Government makes sense as our devices affix to Windows tablets, iPhones, Google Pixels, and other Android devices,” he said. “More government personnel are using smart phones for security and AsReader specializes in security, so it creates a perfect partnership. Also the fact that we’re TAA Compliant means our products are elevated to work with government contractors.”
